Submission to the Draft General Comment on Article 5
After remarkable success of the project Pathways I, Inclusion Europe is pleased to announce the launch of the follow-up project Creating Pathways to Lifelong Learning for Adults with Intellectual Disabilities.
Following recent media reports on care-service infringements on the rights of people with disabilities in Belgium, France and Romania, the European Association of Service Providers for Persons with Disabilities (EASPD) is appealing to European Union (EU) institutions to take immediate action in order to address the current situation.
Caged, abused, forcibly sterilised, ignored. These are not situations one would ever believe citizens of the European Union would live through in 2015.
