Inclusion Europe has announced its fourth edition of the Round Table on Legal Capacity, which will take place on 27 November in Strasbourg. Legal capacity is an important issue affecting people with intellectual disabilities today.

Under the auspices of Olga Sehnalová MEP, Inclusion Europe organised a roundtable meeting of stakeholders in legal capacity and supported decision-making in the European Parliament.

Legal capacity and the violations of the rights of people with intellectual disabilities topped the agenda of the Constructive Dialogue led by the United Nations Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) on 27-28 August in Geneva.

Increasing competencies of civil society organisations to advocate and monitor the rights of people with psycho-social and intellectual disabilities in Balkan countries is the aim of the project PERSON (Partnership to Ensure Reforms of Supports in other Nations).

As the current EU Disability Strategy comes to an end, the European Parliament is calling the European Commission for an ambitious post-2020 strategy, in which we can find some Inclusion Europe’s priorities.
