On 15th of October, Inclusion Europe attended an event on equal access to healthcare at the European Parliament hosted by Diane Dodds, MEP. The event called “It’s our Year, give us a voice!” focused on active citizenship of people with disabilities through equal access to healthcare and was organised by the International Federation for Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus in cooperation with European disability networks and the European Year of Citizens Alliance.

How should the justices policies be shaped by 2020? DG Justice of the European Commission has launched the Assises de la Justice, a public forum on EU justice policies. It aims to stimulate the debate on the future justice policies amongst citizens and civil society. The outcomes collected from Assises de la Justice will be considered in the preparation of future justice initiatives.

The 3rd conference of the European Platform of Self-Advocates (EPSA) took place this weekend in Zagreb. Over 130 self-advocates and supporters from 20 countries joined in to claim the rights of persons with intellectual disabilities as equal citizens of their countries.
