Unapei has criticised government inaction when responding to the challenges faced by more than 30,000 families in France who have ageing adult children with intellectual disabilities.
A milestone has been reached in negotiations on accession of the EU to the European Convention on Human Rights. After 30 years of discussion on this question, negotiators of the 47 Council of Europe member states and the European Union finalised the draft accession agreement of the European Union to the European Convention on Human rights on 5 April 2013.
Taking place on 30 May – 1 June 2013 in the capital of Slovenia, Ljubljana; the annual congress of the European intellectual disability movement will look at the challenges faced by ageing persons with intellectual disabilities and their families.
