Inclusion Europe welcomes the launch of the 2011 European Year of Volunteering, which was celebrated under the Hungarian Presidency. The European Year 2011 aims to raise the profile of volunteering and emphasizes its value and importance to society and individuals.
Inclusion Europe together with its member associations Mencap (United Kingdom) and Lebenshilfe (Germany) are pleased to announce the launch of the Inclusive Development Toolkit, a resource for disability NGOs looking to improve the situation of people with intellectual disabilities in developing countries.

Inclusion Europe warmly welcomes the new European Disability Strategy “A renewed commitment for a Barrier-Free Europe” presented last Monday 15 November by Viviane Reding, the EU Commissioner for justice, fundamental rights and citizenship.
In December 2009, Inclusion Europe launched the ADAP project, which aims to improve the accessibility of European elections for people with disabilities, as well as several other vulnerable groups.
2.700 people with intellectual disabilities, family members, policy makers and professionals from more than 80 countries gathered under the slogan “Transforming Global Rights into Action” at the 15th World Congress of Inclusion International.
