Europe in Action

On 21 - 22 May 2015, Inclusion Europe and ANFFAS are organizing the Europe in Action conference, which will take place in Rome, Italy’s exciting capital city.

Inclusion Europe has received glowing feedback on its Europe in Action Conference 2014 entitled ‘Growing up with an intellectual disability,’ which took place in Belfast on 15-17 May.

More than 240 self-advocates, family members of people with intellectual disabilities and specialists met for Inclusion Europe’s 2014 Europe in Action Conference, which took place in Belfast on 15 – 17 May.

This year’s international conference, which took place in Belfast on 15-17 May, discussed the unique challenges and opportunities of bringing up children with disabilities, and offered resources for parents with or without disabilities themselves.

The registration for our annual ‘Europe in Action’ conference is now open. The event will take place on 15-17 May 2014 in Belfast in Northern Ireland under the theme ‘Growing up with an intellectual disability’ and it is organised in cooperation with Mencap.

During the 2013 annual conference of Inclusion Europe, self-advocates, their families, organisations, service-providers and public authorities gathered in Ljubljana to celebrate the increasing longevity of people with intellectual disabilities.

Taking place on 30 May – 1 June 2013 in the capital of Slovenia, Ljubljana; the annual congress of the European intellectual disability movement will look at the challenges faced by ageing persons with intellectual disabilities and their families.

Strategies to increase employment opportunities for workers with intellectual disabilities in the mainstream labour market were under the spotlight during Inclusion Europe’s annual conference held in Brussels.
