Brussels, 5 June 2012: Strategies to increase employment opportunities for workers with intellectual disabilities in the mainstream labour market were under the spotlight during Inclusion Europe’s annual conference held in Brussels last week.
Taking place between 31 May and 2 June 2012 in Brussels, Inclusion Europe’s annual conference brings together self-advocates, family members, professionals, service providers and decision-makers to discuss the latest ideas and innovative practices in the field.

The Annual congress of Inclusion Europe, well-known as Europe in Action, will be officially opened tomorrow in the Cypriot town of Larnaca under the title: Family Action for the Inclusion of People with Intellectual Disabilities in Society.
Celebrating the largest event in the history of Inclusion International, 2.700 people with intellectual disabilities, family members, policy makers and professionals from more than 80 countries gathered under the slogan “Transforming Global Rights into Action” at the 15th World Congress of Inclusion International from 16-19 June 2010 in Berlin.
“Learning all our lives: Continuing education for adults with intellectual disabilities” was the topic of Europe in Action 2006 in Brussels, Belgium.
